As part of the publication “Finance and Interdisciplinarity: A Cross-Fertilizing Relationship. Essays in Honor of Professor Pascal Alphonse” (June 2026, EMS Press), Sophie Giordano-Spring, Carine El Helou, Wanny Takour Bellaire, and Sarah Aussenac authored a chapter titled “The VSME Standard: The Link Between Sustainable Accounting and Finance?”

This chapter discusses the importance of SMEs in the green transition, the tools associated with this transition—particularly the VSME standard—the relationship with funders and their needs, and the reporting ecosystem surrounding the VSME.
