MOMA is hosting the 7th CSEAR France Conference
The 7th CSEAR (Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research) France Conference took place on June 5 and 6. The event brought together experts in environmental and social accounting, providing a platform for exchanging innovative ideas, presenting research, and discussing potential future collaborations.

WHAT IS THE CSEAR?
The CSEAR (Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research) is aresearch center based at the University of St Andrews School of Management in Scotland. It was established in the late 1980s and brings together researchers in social and environmental accounting (SEA) from many countries.
CSEAR France, the research center’s satellite office in France, is dedicated to promoting social and environmental research (SEA), particularly in France, and to providing the French community with greater visibility as well as a space for informal exchange, discussion, and promotion of these topics. The French office is composed of:

7THANNUAL CSEAR CONFERENCE
This year, Montpellier Management had the privilege of hosting the 7th edition of the CSEAR France Conference. This annual traveling event brings togetherexperts in environmental and social accounting, providing a platform for discussion and knowledge-sharing in this rapidly evolving field.
Sophie Spring, who had previously coordinated the conference in 2013 (during its second edition), once again contributed her expertise to the organization of the event. The 7th edition was a resounding success, with the participation of 69 experts from 13 different countries, including Belgium, Cameroon, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
The conference program included 55 presentations in parallel sessions, covering a wide range of topics in both French and English. In addition, a “dual-track” keynote presentation was offered, combining both academic and practical perspectives to cover the latest developments and emerging trends in sustainable accounting.
The event provided a valuable opportunity for participants to share their knowledge and experiences in an environment conducive to learning and collaboration. Experts presented their latest research, highlighting advances and emerging trends in the field of sustainable accounting. Lively debates and enriching discussions paved the way for potential collaborations among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers, thereby creating a unique synergy to promote sustainable accounting practices.
